ARNETT,
CARTER, FIDLER,
JELLEY, POLLET,
POLLIT, TAYLOR
Anna CARTER was given up by her father in
1863 to be raised by her mother's brother, William TAYLOR Jr. Because of
this, I believe she was always known as Anna Taylor. She was shuffled around
and it's been hard trying to figure out where she went and when. In 1876
I think she was near Oran, under Hugh JELLEY's guardianship. In 1882 it
was said that she was in Leipic. She married a Daniel L. FIDLER abt. 1882
but I don't know where. After her divorce abt. 1902 she married a Frank
ARNETT. He died 1922 in Sidney? and was buried in Port Jefferson. Anna
went on to marry a William POLLIT/POLLET abt. 1924. He died in Quincy and
when Anna died in 1942 she was buried beside the second husband in Port
Jefferson, at least I think she was married to him. I'm looking for info.on
Anna and if she shows up in any census indexes for 1880-1900-1910-1920
or in any marriage records for 1882 ? and 1900-2. This one's been the hardest.
