MUSSELMAN
I am looking to see if there is a connection
between this MUSSELMAN and my Musselmans of Clinton County, OH. The details
are as follows: Robert MUSSELMAN, died at the age of 31 at the Alamo on
3/6/1836. According to the book, "The Alamo Heroes and their Revolutionary
Ancestors", pub San Antonio, TX, 1976, by Alamo, O'Shavano and San Antonio
de Bexar DAR Chapter: A letter by James M. MUSSELMAN to E.M. Pease, Texas
State Library, states that he has ascertained beyond a doubt that the father
of Robert MUSSELMAN was Peter MUSSELMAN who lived in Shelby Co., Ohio.
It states that Peter was born in Shelby Co., Ohio and that Peter's father,
John MUSSELMAN was born in Pennsylvania. Since Shelby Co. was not a county
at the time of Robert or Peter's birth, I am wondering if records would
exist pertaining to these people in Shelby County. Any information would
be appreciated.

SULLIVAN
I am trying to find information about my
great-grandfather John SULLIVAN, who was born in Shelby,Ohio. (We're not
sure if it was Shelby, Richland County, Ohio or somewhere in Shelby County).
My ggrandfather John SULLIVAN had two brothers: Thomas (b. 1864-65; d.1941
in Denver,CO) and Eugene b. 1868 in Shelby, Ohio; d. July 1945 in Denver,
CO). I do not know if there were any other siblings. John's birthdate would
have been either early 1860's or late 1850's. In any case, John SULLIVAN
married (ca.1886) my ggrandmother Mary SULLIVAN (b.1863 in Killarney, Co.
Kerry, Ireland, d. 1950 in Denver, CO) following her emigration from Ireland
(ca. 1882-3). They moved to Como, CO. John SULLIVAN died of an infection
in Denver in September 1898. Is there is a birth record for John SULLIVAN
,or a census record listing him and his siblings and parents,or a marriage
record for John SULLIVAN and Mary SULLIVAN. I also have no information
on the names, birthdates, birthplaces of John's parents. I do not know
if his father served in the Civil War or not. Any information you can find
would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
