GRIFFITH,
JOHNSTON,
LECKEY
I am seeking any and all information about
the parents of my paternal grandfather. My grandfather, Gerald Roland D'Orcy
JOHNSTON, was born 14 June 1901 in Sidney, OH and died 3 April 1978 in
Southfield, MI. His mother was Sarah LECKEY, born 1885, place unknown.
She had 3 husbands, #1 JOHNSTON, #2 unknown, #3 Winford GRIFFITH. Gerald's
father was a locomotive engineer who was killed in a train wreck. Nothing
further is known of him except that family tradition says that he was descended
off the famous civil war Gen. Joseph E. Johnston's line.
