Seeking information on Simon Peter CLAY (b. 4 Jan 1859), his wife Sarah Jane NEWMAN (b. ca. 1878) and their children Fredrick Earl CLAY (b. 25 Jan 1880), Nelle Edith CLAY (b. 1 Mar 1886), Essie Olive CLAY (b. 29 Feb 1888), William Harrison CLAY (b. 16 Apr 1890), Robert Newman CLAY(b. 7 Jun 1892), Ernest Harold CLAY(b. 6 Jul 1894) and Russell Emerson CLAY (b. 7 Jun 1900). I believe that Sarah Jane and the children were born in the greater Quincy area, possibly Champaign, Logan, or Shelby Counties in OH. Any information or assistance would be greatly appreciated. CUNNINGHAM, FERREE, GAMBLE, GORDON, HAGGOTT, HAKINS
Mary GORDON and Samuel GAMBLE had four children. Margaret Agnes (b. 1826) married Benjamin Pearl HAGGOTT; Samuel Irwin (b. 1828) married Elizabeth CUNNINGHAM; William Gordon (b. 1833) married Lydia HAKINS; George Morton (B. 1834) married Julianna FERREE. I want more information on this family, and would like to contact descendants. Margaret and Benjamin HAGGOTT found in the Shelby Co. Ohio census 1850 and 1860 census.

I have numerous old Deguerreotype photographs (1840-50)of ancestors from Shelby County. Looking for help in the positive identification of these photos. Believe they are of Cornelius ELLIOTT, b. 1778, Samuel ELLIOTT, b. 1812, Joseph ELLIOTT, b. 1839, Jane DILL, b. 1815, Lucretia JEFFERS, b. 1806, Thomas JEFFERS, b. before 1777, Sarah J. BAKER, b. 1845 and Nancy REYNOLDS. If anyone has photos of these families, I would appreciate comparing photos to maKe final determinations of identity. I also have numeruos 1880's-90's portrait photos which are of the Thomas STOCKSTILL family and the Phillip YOUNG family. Need help in identifying most of these also. Some are known such as Donald YOUNG at age 14 yrs. and Peter O. STOCKSTILL.

Mary GORDON (1793-1871) m. Samuel GAMBLE (1782-1850). They had three children: Margaret Agnes (m. Benjamin Pearl HAGGOTT), Samuel Irwin (m. Elizabeth CUNNINGHAM), William GORDON (m. Lydia HAKINS), George Morton (m. Julianna Minerva FERREE). Mary GORDON GAMBLE and Margaret Agnes and Benjamin P. HAGGOTT are found in the 1850 and 1860 Shelby County census. I would like more information about the ancestors and descendants of this family. I have information to share.
