CUNNINGHAM,
CURRY,
TURNER
My ancestors were Robert CURRY and Margaret
Ann Berryhill CUNNINGHAM. They had several children and their Daughter
Elizabeth married James P. TURNER. Elizabeth had several children (at least
4), Margaret born 1850, Harrison b. abt 1851, Charles Edward b. abt 1853(My
gr-gr-grandfather) and Sarah B ?. Elizabeth died on 2/22 or 2/23/1857,(I
would like to know where she is buried) following the birth of her last
child (a boy I think). I don't know if the child lived or died too. If
he lived, I think that he lived with the CUNNINGHAMS, At least James P.
TURNER was living in Marion IN. in the 1860 census and he only had Margaret,
Harrison and Charles E. listed as living with him. In late April 1857,
James P. Married Sarah Cunningham, Elizabeth's sister and she had a daughter
born in 1859 named Elizabeth, and Sarah died following her birth. Again,
I don't know what happened to this child named Elizabeth, but she was named
in her grandfathers will, as was Harrison and Charles E. I also don't know
who the parents of James P. TURNER were. If anyone out there could help
me I would be most appreciative. James P. was born in Either No/So Carolina.
My own grandmother, died as a result of the birth of her son, and I had
never heard that her Grandmother and aunt had died the same way.

DRAKE,
HARTMAN
I recently visited Sidney from CA and obtained
the marriage date of my ggg-grandfather Fielding B. DRAKE b.1834, OH to
Elizabeth J. HARTMAN b. 1828. They show up in the 1850 census there and
he lists his occupation as a boot and shoemaker. By the next census, they
have moved to Elkhart, IN. Is there anyone who can shed some light on these
two families and possible ancestors? Thanks!

BAUSERMAN,
GLASSMIRE
Interested in exchanging information concerning
the BAUSERMAN and GLASSMIRE families in Ohio. The Glassmire family settled
in Ohio in the late 1700's. The earliest record I have is of an Abraham
GLASSMIRE, who was one of the original settlers of Dayton in 1795. He then
moved to Shelby Co., and later to Paulding, probably passing away there.
He had at least one son, also named Abraham, who lived in Crane Twp, and
died of Thyphoid fever. One of his daughters, Sarah Jane GLASSMIRE, married
Abraham BAUSERMAN in 1869. Abraham was born in VanWert Co., and was the
son of Eli and Mary BAUSERMAN. Eli is from Virginia, but I don't know his
parentage. I have found a very large BAUSERMAN family in the Shenandoah
Valley though. I would like to hear from anybody who can give any information
on these two families.
