Jackson Center, Shelby, Ohio. As a child he moved with his parents to
Port
Jefferson, Shelby Co, Ohio, for about two years, then moved back to
Clarke
Co., and back to Port Jefferson. On 17 Sep 1856 they moved to Jackson
TWP
settling on a farm in section 16, in 1858 moved to a farm in sect 22.
Was
Trustee of Jackson Twp. for 4 years. After his marriage they settled on
a farm in Greene Township, Shelby Co. Ohio, moving two years later to
Orange
Township, Shelby Co., until 1876 when they moved to the farm 2 1/2
miles
south of Jackson Center, and to Jackson Center 1898. George's grand
daughter,
Ruth Stahler Palmer, says the marriage place was Clark Co. Ohio.
1880 Census for Jackson, Shelby,
Ohio shows George W. age 37, wife Emily A. age 35, children Hary (sic)
age 12; Wilber D. age 11; Luella age 9; Wm. O. age 7; Ollie E. age 6
Dewitt
C. age 4; and Eva E. age 2.
