F. Young Dead Passed Away at 11 O’clock, Last Friday Night ---Funeral Services at Harris Creek Church Today. Mrs. S. F. Young succumbed to an attack of heart disease, last Friday evening, at 11 o’clock, at the family home, 2 miles east of Versailles, aged 76 years. She had been a sufferer from heart trouble for many years, but during recent months Mrs. Young had greatly improved in health and the attack came Friday evening, quite unexpected. She leaves to mourn her departure, the husband, two sons, Elias, at home, and John of Cincinnati: three daughters, Mrs. Warren Hartle of Chicago Ill., Mrs. E. R. Bookwalter of Success Sask., Canada and Mrs. Sydney Sutton of Watrai, New Zealand. The funeral services had been held over until this Thursday morning, pending the arrival of Bookwalters from Canada. The daughter residing in New Zealand will not be able to arrive here for the services which will be held at the Harris Creek church, at 10 o’clock. Interment in the cemetery at that place, by Undertaker Marker. Versailles’ Policy Nov. 9 1922 OBITUARY Rachel Ann Young, daughter of Abraham and Hanna Reish, was born in Miami County, Ohio, January 27, 1864*, and passed to her eternal home on November 3, 1922, at the age of 76 years, 9 months and 6 days. She was the last of her people, both her parents and her sister, Mrs. Catherine Scheffbuch, having preceded her in the Spirit World. On November 19, 1868, she was united in marriage to Samuel Young. To this union were born eight children, three boys and five girls. The eldest son Aaron, and two girls, Rebecca and Olive, preceded their mother in death. In their early life, she, with her husband, yielded to the Spirit’s call and united with the Church of the Brethren to which she remained faithful until the Heavenly Father called her home. She leaves to mourn her departure her companion and five children, Mrs. Maud Hartle of Chicago, Mrs. Hanna Sutton of New Zealand, Mrs. Anne Bookwalter of Swift Current, Canada, John C. of Cincinnati, Elias, who remained with his parents, seven grandchildren, the church of her choice and a host of neighbors and friends. Funeral services were held from the Harris Creek Church of the Brethren, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Berkbile. Interment in Harris Creek Cemetery.
