Shellenberger, 67, died Monday night at 11 o'clock in his home in Port Jefferson after a serious illness of about a week with a kidney infection. He had been in failing health for the past year. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the Dearth Funeral home and interment will be made in Graceland cemetery. Friends may call at the Dearth funeral home any time after this evening. Born in Dinsmore township, Shelby County, on September 26, 1878 he would have reached his 67th birthday Wednesday. He was a son of John and Rufina Young Shellenberger, who preceded him in death. His sister and brother surviving are: Harry Shellenberger, Montra, and Mrs. Stella Sturdevant, Springfield. His marriage with Mrs. Lorena Rice was solemnized in Cincinnati. The greater part of his life had been spent in Port Jefferson where he followed the occupation of a carpenter.
