Sidney Daily News, Oct. 26, 1940

One of Sidney's well known residents, Mrs. Louise Townsley Shellenberger,
89, succumbed to a two years illness last night at 9 o'clock.  Her death,
caused by general disability occurred at the county home.

She was born July 1, 1851, at Clifton, Ohio, in Green County, and was the
daughter of William and Hulda Aldrich.

Her husband, Christian Shellenberger, preceded her in death.

A former member of the Rebecah Lodge, she was also a member of the Methodist
church, and had lived in this county practically all her life.

The funeral service will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the
Cromes-Wiessinger funeral home with the Rev. Dallas Browning in charge of
the last rites.  Burial will be made in Graceland Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday afternoon and evening and until
the time of the service.
