Pellman, 88, former resident of Shelby county, died at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Amos Pence, in Tempe, Ariz. Death resulted from complications. She had been in failing health for the past several years. She had made her home in Tempe for the past 15 years. Previously she had lived in Shelby county since 1907, coming here from Pennsylvania. Born Aug. 18, 1872 in Hanover Dale, Pa., Mrs. Pellman was a daughter of Joseph and Mary Stauffer McCorkle. Her first marriage was with Daniel Etzweiler who died June 10, 1910. One son was born to this union, Harry D. Etzweiler, die Aug. 24, 1956. On March 5, 1914 she married John H. Pellman. He died Feb. 13, 1939. survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Amos (Mildre) Pence, of Tempe; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Julia Etzweiler, of Hardin, and two granddaughters, Shirley Ann and Judy Lynn, of Tempe. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Samuel, Enoch, Jacob, Joseph, and John McCorkle, all of Hershey, Pa.; Paul McCorkle, of California; Mrs. Abram Snyder and Mrs. John Baker, bothh of Elizabethtown, Pa., and Mrs. Daniel McCorkle, of Indianapolis, Ind. Mrs. Pellman had been a life-lone member of the Church of the Brethren. The remains will be returned to Shelby county for burial in Brookside cemetery at Hardin. Funeral services, in charge of Cromes and Sons Funeral Home, are indefinite pending work from Tempe.
