"August Mills, of Newport, was buried on Wednesday at this place."


Augustus Mills, son of Dennis C. Mills and Elizabeth R. Giesseman/Geeseman,
was born 3 February 1842 in Shelby Co., OH (according to family records) or
Maryland (according to Civil War Record); married 7 November 1865 Shelby
County, OH to Catherine Mary Maxton; was kicked by a horse in Shelby Co., OH
and taken to the residence of his brother-in-law, Dr. George W. Fulkerson of
Logan Co., OH where Augustus died on 11 December 1882.  He was buried in Sec
2, Lot 42, Old Houston Cemetery, Houston, Shelby County, Ohio on 13 December
1882.  He was the father of 10 children: Albert, Nancy Jane, Mary Catherine,
James, Edward, Charles, George, Oscar, Margaret, & Dora Elon.
