Friday, November 29, 1895 issue of the Shelby County Democrat.  

 
    LYON

    Mrs. Cynthia Lyon, living a few miles south of Kirkwood, died Saturday 
night.  The cause of her death was general disability and a physical injury 
consisting of a broken hip.  She was over eighty-seven years of age.  She was 
an aunt of Sam and Clark Lyon of this city.  The funeral services were held 
Tuesday at 10 o'clock.  Interment at Wesley Chapel.
