Sidney Daily News, Nov. 2, 1945

John W. Long, 80, retired farmer of the Montra community, passed away this
afternoon at 2 o'clock at the county home following a heart attack suffered
three days ago.

He is survived by two children, Franklin Long of Anna rural route; and Mrs.
John Immel, 411 Elm Street, Sidney.  One child and wife have preceded him in
death.

He was a member of the Church of Christ.

After retiring from active farming work he resided with Mr. and Mrs. John
Immel for eight years and entered the county home about 18 months ago.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
