Mrs. Ethelyn Shellenbarger Hammerer, 44, died suddenly from a heart attack
Wednesday morning in Lima.  She had been in ill health for the past year.

Mrs. Hammerer is remembered as Ethelyn Shellenbarger, and as a nurse's aide
here for some time.  A well-liked resident of Sidney, she won a place for
herself through kindness and affection.  She was the daughter of Mrs.
Frances Maxson of  Sidney and Edward Shellenbarger of Smithboro, NY.  They
survive and a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Bill of New York; a foster brother,
Lawrence Maxson of Sidney, a step-sister and three step-brothers.

Her husband was Harry Hammerer, whom she married in June of 1946.  He died
Feb. 11, 1949.

Funeral rites for her will be in Lima from the Seifert and Son Funeral Home
and will be at l:30 p.m. Saturday in the charge of Rev. R. Wobus of this
city.  The body will be brought to Sidney for burial in Graceland Cemetery.
