    GILLESPIE

    Benjamin Gillespie, for many years a resident of Sidney and Shelby county 
died at his home near Berne, Adams county, Indiana, last Saturday of liver 
trouble.  He was born in Scotland about sixty-five years ago and came to this 
country with his parents when he was a small boy.  Soon after coming to America 
his parents came to Shelby county and here he spent most of his life.  About
 three years ago he went to Indiana and since then had been living there.  He 
leaves a wife and several children.  The funeral services were held Tuesday and 
interment was at Versailles, Dark county.
