Fogt, one of the best known & highly respected residents of Anna, Ohio, died at the Piqua, Hospital about 11: O"clock Friday night, the result of injuries rec. in a runaway accident Sunday near Piqua, Ohio. Mr. & Mrs. Fogt had gone to Piqua to spent the day with their son & were driving to Piqua in a closed buggy to take the traction car home when the accident occurred. The horse frightened at a coal pile along the side of the road & the buggy was overturned & Mrs Fogt received fatal injuries as a result. The remains were taken to her home at Anna, Saturday Morning. The funeral services will be held at the Lutheran Church at Anna Monday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock, Burial at Pearl Cemetery. The deceased was born in Franklin Township, Shelby, County, Ohio, near Swanders, Ohio, Nov. 9th sixty-nine years ago & had resided in Franklin Township practically all her life. her maiden name was Mary Stengle. She is survived by her husband & eight sons Joseph P., William S., Henry J., Louis M., Jacob P., Leroy W., James A., Perry M., One daughter preceded her in death. She is also survived by five sisters Mrs. Andy Burch. Mrs John Bridewiser, Mrs Lena Beamer, Mrs Caroline Fogt, Mrs Maggie Staley, one brother George Stengle, & fifteen grand children & on great grand child Mrs Fogt had been a faithful member of the Lutheran Church at Anna, Ohio was a woman of beautiful Christian character & will be greatly missed among her relatives friends & acquaintances. ****** Mrs. J. P. Fogt, of Anna, Ohio, is at the Piqua Memorial Hospital in serious condition, the result of being injured in a runaway at Piqua, Sunday evening . Mr. & Mrs. Fogt were in a closed buggy with their son James Fogt, driving to Piqua to take the car for home after viviting with there son east of Piqua, Ohio . The horse shied at a pile of coal & became unmanagable & started to run away . The buggy which was enclosed one, overturned . Mrs. Fogt suffered a broken jaw, two broken ribs, a broken arm, & was bruised about the head & face . The other occupants of the buggy were also injured . Mrs. Fogt was taken to the hospital Monday morning .
