Again, this person is not related to my research: Dies After Several Weeks Illness Mrs. Alice E. Carter died at her home in Piqua Thursday evening at 7:30 o'clock at the age of 62 years after an illness of nine weeks from a complication of diseases. She was the wife of Henry W. Carter. Alice Carter was the daughter of Daniel and Sarah Clawson and was born January 25, 1861, at Plattsville. On August 12, 1880 she was united in marriage to Henry B. Carter, to whom six children were born. Three of the children still survive. Those surviving her are the husband, Mrs. John H. Haines of Troy, Mrs. John H. Gard and Roy Carter of Piqua, three sisters, Mrs. Alfred Weaver and Mrs. John M. Mayes of Piqua, and Mrs. Samuel Slagle of Dawson. Five grandchildren and a host of friends also survive. Funeral services held at one-thirty o'clock at the United Brethren chu7rch with Rev. Jussen Urich officiating. Burial made in Forest Hill cemetery.
