CARROL At 11 o'clock Sunday evening Feb. 7, M.J. CARROLL went peacefully to sleep, and was called to his eternal rest by his heavenly Father. He was born on Nov. 2 1847 in Ireland and came to this country with his parents at the age of 18 months landing in New York. He spent most of his early years working on the railroads. He was first married to Mary MALONE to this union were born six children. The mother and five children have preceded him in death. One daughter Mrs. Emmor SNYDAN of Norwalk Ohio and her four children survive him of this union. He remained a widower for a number of years and then was united in marriage to Mary ALTERMATT on Nov. 4 1909. They resided on a farm in Turtle twp near Uno, until the year 1919 when they retired and moved to Sidney. One stepdaughter Mrs. Joseph MEYER his wife and four grand children and a sister Catharine CARROLL of McCartyville and Mrs. Mary CARROLL survive. Mr. CARROLL was devout member of the Holy Angels Catholic Church and member of the Holy Name Society. He was well fortified with the last sacraments of the church. The funeral services were held on Wednesday morning at 8:30 o'clock at the Holy Angels Church. Interment in the Sacred Heart Cemetery McCartyville, O.
