Obituary from The Shelby County Democrat   Friday  29 July 1892

reference.)

				BARKER

Joshua BARKER, who was a resident of Turtle Creek township for more than seventy years, died
at Blue Grass, in Fulton county, Indiana July 15.  Mr BARKER was born in Montgomery county, 
April 15, 1818, and came to this county with his parents two years aftrwards.  One year ago he
moved to Blue Grass, Indiana.  He had a severe attack of la grie last March wich broke him 
down and he gradually failed in health afterwards.  In 1850 he married Dehlila PENCE, by whom
he had eight children, six of whom are living.  His wife died in 1872.
